Food, glorious food

Food is the window to the soul, a language of pure love, and one of the main pillars of postpartum care. Whether you like it spicy, are super picky about which flavours rest on your tastebuds, or will eat anything in front of you, we can all agree that it's a staple and it's necessary. Period.

Believe it or not, when thrust into the throes of parenthood, whether for the first or fifth time, thinking about what to eat, and more importantly, finding the time to actually cook it, seems almost impossible! And why would you want to be standing in a kitchen when you could be resting, snuggling with your baby, and spending quality time with your family.

This doesn't just apply for newborn land. Time goes on, your kids get older, and while you're no longer breastfeeding around the clock, life suddenly gets in the way. You're back working full time, you have kinder/daycare/school drop off and pick ups to coordinate, you're trying to figure out how to get child #2 to soccer when child #1 also needs to be at swimming, and then when all of that somehow falls into place miraculously, everyone bundles through the door at dinner time demanding food, getting hangrier by the second, and you haven't had a single second to even think about what's for dinner tonight, let along something nutritious and tasty.

This is where I come in. I LOVE creating food for families. It fills my heart with so much joy to take some extra stress off families and fill everyone's stomach's with good, whole, nutritious food. I try to use as many local & fresh ingredients as I can, creating a concoction of delicious flavours that are designed to optimise your body, your health, and of course, your tastebuds.

 

Whether you have dietary specifications, requirements for the stage of life you're in, sensitive little stomachs, or are just craving something in particular, I'm happy to work with you and see what we can create together (without you having to think too much or do any of the cooking of course!).

Chipotle Chicken & Black Bean Rice Soup, served with corn chips, fresh tomatoes, coriander, and avocado.

Kokkonisto, a delicious Beef Greek Casserole, slow cooked to perfection.

Sweet Potato, Cannellini Bean & Mozzarella Bake.

Silverbeat & Feta Pie.

Amped-up Bolognese, a crowd family favourite, with loads of iron, fibre & protein packed ingredients to satisfy everyone at the table.

Nourishing Chicken Soup, and no, you don't have to be sick to enjoy this one!

Loaded Sausage Rolls, you'll have to keep these ones hidden away, they'll disappear like hotcakes!

Warming Red Lentil Dahlso perfect & nourishing early in your postpartum.

Nutty Prune Slice coated in Dark Chocolate, the ultimate one-handed snack that is both delicious & nourishing.

Sweet Potato & Raspberry Brownie, one of my all-time most popular snacks that have people coming back for more!

Tahini Banana Bread, with the nutrient powerhouse ingredient of tahini making its appearance, you can't go wrong with this one.

Cranberry & Dark Choc Lactation Cookies, or just cookies, they're so epic you definitely don't need to be breastfeeding to enjoy these.

Organic Bone Broth, there can never be enough words for the benefits of bone broth, they're the biggest postpartum staple there is.

Herbal Infusion Drink, let me see what I can come up with, but if you trust me, it'll be more-ish, boost up your body, and give you a newfound love for herbs
